Science Table in the Classroom

The Science Table by Anatomage is a 7-foot-long digital lab platform that enables students to perform over 100 virtual experiments in Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science, and Physics, all designed for NGSS and AP standards. Its hyper-realistic visual renderings immerse students in the experiments, making them feel as if they are interacting with real-world phenomena.

The Science Table is a highly modular tool for science education. It can be used as a lecture tool, lab replacement, extended learning, or supplement to pre-existing resources a teacher might have.

Yes, the Science Table currently has four different subjects available: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth & Space Science. Many experiments can also be used in health science or engineering courses.

The Science Table experiments are individually designed to meet both NGSS and AP standards. As we design the content for each experiment, we identify the performance expectations and 3 dimensions of NGSS, as well as the essential knowledge and learning objects of AP. These standards are used to synthesize the Anatomage learning objectives for each experiment. These learning objectives then act as a guide for all development including both software and supporting content.

YouTube videos are passive learning experiences that students cannot actively engage in. Physical models provide students with tactile experiences, but can be cumbersome to set up in the classroom.

Yes, the Science Table comes with guides and worksheets for the experiments. Anatomage is dedicated to providing teachers with the easiest integration of the Table into their classrooms. Lesson plans and students guides are available for select experiments.

Currently, there are teacher guides for every single experiment and student lab manuals for a select number of experiments. Our goal is to help teachers and make their lives easier, so the company is actively working on expanding our repertoire of student lab manuals.

Yes, printed versions of the Science Table teacher guides are included with the purchase of a new Table. If you have not yet received your printed teacher guide, please email sciencetable@anatomage.com to inquire for a printed copy.

Yes, many experiments on the Science Table, such as Replacement Reactions, Millikan Oil Drop, or PCR, allow students to fail if they do not correctly perform the experimental procedure.

Many experiments are designed with accepted laws of science across all subjects. Our team ensures that results fall within 1% or less of expected results from those laws. Other experiments utilize public data sources, examples such as from NASA or orthodb.org.

The number of students who can utilize the Science Table depends on the experiment. However, for most experiences, we recommend around 4-6 students at a time per Table.

The Science Table can be used as a lecture tool to present science phenomena to students. Many teachers also utilize a station environment, mixing the Science Table in with their current resources.

The Anatomage Table was developed with medical-grade casters similar to a hospital environment, allowing users to easily push the Table to any location.

Science Table and Anatomage

The Science Table has many individual experiments and experiences that target physics, chemistry, biology, and Earth and space science. The Science Table content is targeted at the high school and university level. The Anatomage Table has real-human cadavers and functional anatomy simulations that can be used to learn anatomy and physiology. To learn more about the Anatomage Table, visit anatomage.com.

Yes, the Science Table and Anatomage Table software both run on the Anatomage Table classic and convertible units. Currently, the Science Table is not supported on Table Clinical.

The Science Table has several experiments that relate to physiology and health sciences, such as Cell Membrane, Osmosis, PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, DNA Replication, etc. As we continue to develop new experiments, we’ll dive further into physiology contents that fit the development style of the Science Table.

The Science Table is a set of experiments or experiences that covers physics, chemistry, biology, and Earth and space sciences. Anatomage Lessons is an online platform with scroll-activated content that students can access through their own devices. Lessons can be used to teach students concepts before they come to the Science Table. However, they are two distinct products – one exists on the Anatomage Table and the other exists on the internet.

Getting Started

Yes, the Anatomage Table has 2 HDMI ports on the side of the unit that allow you to extend one of the two screens to an external projector or screen.

The Anatomage Table requires a power source of at least 1170w.

Yes. If your Anatomage Table is connected to the internet, then you can install and use remote desktop software like TeamViewer or Chrome Remote Desktop. These applications will allow one person at a time to remote into the Table and control it from somewhere else.

Currently, you can use the Windows Snipping Tool to take screenshots of the Science Table. The ability to take screenshots directly in the experiments will be available in an upcoming software release.

Yes, the Anatomage Table Convertible can be stored vertically to help reduce its overall footprint.

Science Table Training & Support

Training is available with the purchase of the Science Table. Currently, there is no deadline for scheduling training. We do ask that you schedule trainings 3-6 weeks in advance to give our training teams time to coordinate.

Currently, there is zero cost associated with training. If you’d like to receive any training, please email training@anatomage.com.

When a new software release comes out, the Science Table application on the Anatomage Table can be updated through the internet with a download. If your Table cannot connect to the internet, please email sciencetable@anatomage.com to have an update USB shipped to you.

Currently, customers do not need to pay to upgrade their software to the latest version.

As the Science Table grows, the company is actively considering other subject areas where the Anatomage Table interaction fits best. For example, in 2024 Earth & Space Science was added as a new subject area.

The Anatomage Table can easily be cleaned with an alcohol-based solvent and microfiber cloth.
